Welcome to the Barony of Andelcrag

 

Who We Are

The Barony of Andelcrag is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism based in the central and southern portions of western Michigan. Andelcrag is part of the Middle Kingdom, which consists of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, a nip of Iowa, and a bit of Ontario.

The Middle Kingdom is made up of four regions. The State of Michigan, where the Barony of Andelcrag is located, is known as the Region of Pentamere.

What We Do

The Barony works to re-create parts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance through "hands on" activities such as a music, dance, embroidery, costuming, calligraphy, illumination, jewelry making, woodworking, leatherworking, blacksmithing, brewing, and armored combat.

Where We Are

The Barony’s official territory includes the counties of Manistee, Mason, Lake, Osceola, Mecosta, Newaygo, Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Montcalm, Ionia, Barry, Allegan, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, Van Buren, Berrien, Cass, St Joseph, and Branch in the State of Michigan, but our activities are open to anyone who is interested.
