The Middle Kingdom has an established Waterbearers Guild. The guild is organized under the authority of the Chirurgeonate. The Kingdom Waterbearer reports directly to the Kingdom Chirurgeon. Although most local and baronial groups do not recognize waterbearing as an official position, there are people who regularly participate as waterbearers and coordinate water activities at events. Please see the contact list for information on someone in your local area.

As a subordinate group of the Chirurgeonate, it is expected that waterbearing be coordinated in cooperation with the Chirurgeons at all times. If you are a Chirurgeon, please include waterbearing information in your event reports. If you are not a Chirurgeon, please make sure to make a report to your event CIC or local Chirurgeon.

The Guild badge is blazoned as follows: Argent, a goute de larme within another voided, a bordure azure.

People who participating as non-partisan or Kingdom waterbearers are encouraged to wear a baldric or other identification that has the Guild symbol on it. We currently do not have patches. A blue piece of fabric and a white fabric pen can do wonders! As we have a very limited budget, please feel free to make and bring your own baldrics to events, not just Pennsic.
