TO REDUCE OUR SITE FEE...
We have decided to do something new this year! The shire has cut the site fee in 1/2 from what it was last year! The cost to the shire for this site; however, has remained the same. The shire has decided to hold a series of Ebay auctions to try to raise the finds to cover the difference between what we are charging for site and what the site is costing the shire.
For those interested, shire members have donated items for sale on Ebay. Several auctions have closed and we have had remarkable results! If you are interested in seeing what is currently being offered, please go to
OUR EBAY PAGE
New items are being added each week! These auctions are kindly being maintained by Katta cel Batrin. We are therefore using her account because she has a very high existing Ebay rating as a vendor.
Now, not everything is hand-made or even period, but this is for a good cause... we are trying to keep costs down so people can come and play with us! Funds raised beyond what is needed to fund the difference in site costs, will be donated directly to the Royal Travel Fund. So the shire of Dark River is not making any money for their coffers from these auctions.
