Why you so long haired, hippie?
Because, I started growing it out for my cousin who lost all of his hair to chemotherapy and made a remark about how nice looking my hair was.
What happened to your cousin?
Cancer free and his hair grew back.
So why you so long haired, hippie?
Because I got it out pretty long by the point he was in the clear. That and cancer has now taken my uncle, my grandmother, and my Dad. I wanted to do something special in their honor.
How you going to do it, hippie?
I am donating my hair to Wigs for Kids, because they give the wigs away for free to those that can’t pay. Also, I want to raise money and awareness for The American Cancer Society, who provided my Dad with a place to stay at The Hope Lodge in Lexington Kentucky. I wanted him to stay at our house, but with three children and little space my Mom and my Dad didn’t want to burden us. For the American Cancer Society’s generosity and kindness I want to repay that debt.
How can I help out hippie?
Give a donation here. Indiegogo Donation
I want to give the full sum to the American Cancer Society and the University of Kentucky’s Markey Cancer Center in memory of my Dad, Gary W. Fisher.
You so long haired, hippie, let me cut that for you.
Sure, there are two different ways to get to cut my hair: The easiest is to donate; this will enter you in a raffle for one lucky person. The next way is to be the highest donor.
When can I come cut your hair, hippie?
The hair cutting is going to happen at Border Raids this year, Saturday May 19th, 2012.
Oh and please, quit calling me hippie… hippie.
