You need to mail the NMS funds (along with how many non-members that should represent, and how many total attended the event), made out to "SCA Inc - Middle Kingdom." Mark it down as an "In Kingdom Transfer". These funds must be mailed in as soon as reasonably possible following the event, NOT held until the end of the quarter.

The following is directly from Master Tirloch, the Society Treasurer, and Mistress Daphne, the Society Seneschal:

At the SCA Board of Director's meeting that was held on 19 October, the non-member surcharge was defined and published. How the NMS applies: (1) The NMS will apply to events, meeting the requirements defined in Corpora section II.C., "...Society events for which a full announcement including date, time, and place has been published in advance in the appropriate corporate publication;" and for which a fee or required donation to attend the event is charged. (2) The NMS will not be collected if there is no fee or required donation to attend the event. (3) The NMS will not be collected for minors for whom there is a discounted event fee. Default procedure for NMS implementation: (a) Each Kingdom will collect the NMS and forward monies in US funds to the Corporate Office on a quarterly basis. (b) The Kingdom Seneschal and Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer will be responsible for ensuring compliance. (c) Implementation alternatives may be presented to, and approved by, the Society Seneschal and Treasurer of the SCA, Inc. Final approval of alternatives will be reviewed by the Board. The Non-Member Surcharge (NMS) goes into effect on 1 January 2003 for all 16 Laurel Kingdoms. The NMS does not apply to Lochac as they are under the SCAA, Inc. organization. [A new] NMS submission form which will also be in the new exchequer handbook. The NMS fees are: For the Kingdoms that reside in the United States, the NMS fee is $3 USD. For Kingdoms and groups that reside in Canada, the NMS fee is $4 CAN. For the Kingdom of Drachenwald, the NMS fee is 3 EUR. For Drachenwald and Canadian groups, the cost for converting your funds into USD currency is to be subtracted from the amount sent to the corporate office in Milpitas, California. In other words, the cost of currency conversion is not borne by international groups. Daphne and I are in the process of building a FAQ document to answer implementation issues which we will then send out to both the Kingdom Exchequers and Kingdom Seneschals. For example, the Kingdom of the Outlands has already asked us how to handle events like the Toys-for-Tots where toys are used for the event fee.

Per Corpora, proof of membership is:

"...For combat and related activities, positive confirmation of membership consists of a valid membership card, appearance of the name with a valid membership on a printout from the Registry, a membership label issued by the SCA corporate office showing the name and expiration date, or a postcard or letter from the Registry confirming that the membership has been received."
