About The SCA
The Society for Creative Anachronism was founded in 1968, but it's first tourney was in May, 1966. The SCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the active study and education about the Middle Ages. The SCA covers the time period between 500 BC to 1600 AD, with most focus on European history, but this has changed over the years, with many gentles researching Asia and the Middle East. Falcon's Quarry, the group in Lorain county, meets twice a month to discuss business and get together. But the real focus of the SCA happens at our "events"--weekend get-togethers with gentles from all over. At events, there is usually fighting, fencing, archery (if it's an outdoor event), shopping, and classes. For upcoming events in our area, check out the Calendar page.
