Who We AreThe Shire of Greyhope is a chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism based in Northwestern Indiana. Greyhope is part of the Middle Kingdom, which consists of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, a nip of Iowa, and a bit of Ontario. The Middle Kingdom is made up of four regions. The State of Indiana, where the Shire of Greyhope is located, is known as the Region of Constellation. What We DoThe Shire works to re-create parts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance through "hands on" activities such as a music, dance, embroidery, costuming, calligraphy, illumination, jewelry making, woodworking, leatherworking, blacksmithing, brewing, and armored combat. Where We AreThe Shire’s official territory includes the counties of LaPorte, Porter, and Lake in the State of Indiana, but our activities are open to anyone who is interested. New to the SCA?
