A & S Class Schedule

    September 10, 2000: Period Beadwork

Lady Grizel has been researching period beadwork for years. She will be teaching a hands-on class on period beadwork and bead embroidery after the Baronial meeting on September 10. For a small fee you will recieve the beads and materials to create your own beaded Tudor rose favor. A handout will be available. Check out Lady Grizel's Medieval Beadwork page for more information on the art of period beading.

October 8, 2000: Sugarpaste, The Art of Illusion Food

Mistress Rosamund is renowned for her skill in the art of period illusion food. She has crafted playing cards, china dishes, and all manner of items of sugar paste that look (and taste!) better than the real thing. She will be teaching a class in the art of crafting subtleties and other items of sugarpaste after the baronial meeting on October 8.

    November 12, 2000: Period Fabric Painting (& Tiraz-making)

Do you want to spiff up your campsite, but would rather walk across the Sahara than attempt a tapestry or appliqued banner? Never fear! Our Baron, Sir Berach de Winterbourne, will be giving a class on the art of painting banners and fabric hangings. You'll learn how to paint your device on a hanging or a shield cover. We will also be making baronial Tirazes (painted fabric strips) for the Baron and Baroness to give out as favors. Come support your local barony after the Baronial meeting on November 12th!
