From the earliest times, people went to the deserts and swamps of the Nile to meditate, to Alexandria for its library, and to the Holy Land for pilgrimage. This idealism both increased and destroyed the spread of knowledge. Saladin and Richard also destroyed a civilization in Africa. |

| An Introduction to Bookbinding Come bind a mini journal using a nearly-period technique! We will be making a small coptic-style soft-bound book with a paper cover. Learn the simple stitch that holds it together, plus the kettle stitch at the ends (a bookbinding basic). Supplies ($3) will be limited to 10 sets, but others are welcome to come join the discussion.
