Indoor archery!!! Test your skills with a variety of shoots, most based on medieval targets from various
cultures. Suitable for any ages--fun for the children, a challenge for the adults. All equipment will be provided.
Range will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Chase the Fan:
A “King of the Hill” style tournament with the object of desire a tessen-style war fan.
Defeat in single combat whoever has the fan to claim possession of it and defend against all who would take it from you.
Start time is 11a.m., end time is 4 p.m. Who ever has the fan when the lists are closed at 4 p.m. is the winner of the tourney.
NOTE: The war fan is considered a rigid parry, and fencers must be authorized in that form to participate. Fencers may compete for the fan multiple times, and hold it any number of times during the tourney. Winning is done by having the fan in your possession at close of the list. Whoever has the fan may not turn down a challenge. Challengers for the fan may use any form they desire; they do not have to match the rigid parry form of the defender.
Dissection Tourney:
To win against your opponent, you will need to score a valid touch against all six of your opponents' target areas, a.k.a. head, torso, each arm, each leg. Hands and feet count as part of the arm or leg. When struck with a valid blow, a fencer will call out “Good Arm/Leg/Body/Head” and not lose the struck limb.
The bout will continue until one fencer has scored a valid touch against all six of their opponents' targets. Buckler is not allowed as a weapon style during this tourney. Format will be round robin pools, with promotion to a second pool dependant on the number of fencers.
Start time: 1 p.m. End time: 4 p.m.
