Congratulations to our newest members of the Company
of the Bronze Ring: Warder Alexander of Manchester,
Warder Christian d'Fournier and Warder Kevin
O'Shaughnessy.

Warder Alexander de Seton wishes to step down as
Midlands RRM on April 1st. Send your applications
before March 22nd to Alexander or me.

Each region should consider hosting a Middle Kingdom
Academy of Defense yearly. Midlands is already
scheduled (August 30  Sept 1). MKAoDs are a great
way to share rapier knowledge. Some classes even
qualify towards receiving marshal's warrants!

Effective Jan 10, 2002 epees are MidRealm legal. They
cant be used for tourneys, but can be practiced with
freely. Legalizing epees enables our fencers to play
in epee-only kingdoms. Regionals have more details.
Remember, epees are light rapiers and cant face heavy
rapiers.

MidRealm legal heavy rapier blades: Schlaeger (diamond
and oval), Del Tin practice and bated, Scottie
Diamond, Zamorano & Starfire. Standard length is 34"
- 36". Shorter than 34" is not allowed. Longer than
36" is non-standard.

MidRealm legal daggers: Flexi-dagger, Scottie Flexible
& Safe-Flex Mark 2
