Initially an Emergency Medicine physician (board certified in 1984), he has practiced occupational medicine for 20 years (currently board certified). This specialty includes expertise in evaluation of patterns of injury resulting from specific activities [generally those of the workplace], and in recommendations regarding injury prevention measures, including administrative controls, engineering controls, and personal protective equipment.
