Tibor, I agree with you that the communications among all the various
parts of the SCA are not as good as it should be. However, I think you
are being a little unfair about the above list of things you are
holding the autocrats responsible for. They have no control over
things like what battles are fought for which points or how the War
Points are organized. That is exclusively the decision of the Kings of
the Middle and the East, and the autocrats get no say in it whatsoever.

I think they may get some say in the woods battle, but only so far as
whether or not they can find a site for it to rent, which has been a
problem in the past. Pennsic is in a state of change on many levels,
administratively, legally, philosophically, financially. If you would
like a bit more background on why some of it is happening on the
Midrealm side, feel free to contact me privately.
