Well... yeah, your dreams are a little big. But Don't Stop!!!
Given 150 years or more some might come true. I'm not sure I want to see
the SCA so large that it has 100 kingdoms. Who could handle a War once a
month? Where'd we get the vacation time, let alone the energy? Travel and
new ideas are part of the fun but why travel if you barely know all the
people close to you?

I agree with your friends more. But if we wanted to pay for full time
grounds keepers and regular maintenance it could work. We might end up
being more of a for profit agency than a non-profit one. Think of the
money and Director problems we could have then.
Sometimes discovering new sites can be fun too though.
But do keep dreaming :-)
