Greetings Madalena!

There have been two articles on the SCA I am aware of, although they don't
provide much in the way of demographic and statistical information, and they
are somewhat dated. However, both give a pretty good view of the SCA and
are fairly complimentary.

Anderson, Jay. "Prince Valiants." in _Time Machines: The World of Living
History._ Nashville, TN: American Association for State and Local
        History, 1984, 167-172.

Fincher, Jack. "They Joust as if Knighthood Were Still in Flower
        Today." _Smithsonian_ 12:3 (June 1981), 95-103.

I hope this information is helpful.
