 Come Join the Barony of Illition at the State of Illinois'
Annual Jubilee Olde English Faire Demo
                       June 24 and 25, 1995

The Barony of Illition is inviting all recipients of this note
to attend a
weekend of tournaments, forsoothness, and general
merriment at the Jubilee Olde English Faire. The Faire
will be located at the State Historic Site at Jubilee College
(Formerly the old Jubilee State Park). The site is
northwestof Peoria, Il, off of I-74 (exit 82 - Kickapoo
/Edwards exit). There are signs directing travelers to
the park from the ramp.

The Grand March will assemble at the top of the hill at
9:30 AM each morning. It is requested that all people
 attending the Faire participate in the march! Please
remember that this is a public relations event, so we
are expected to preserve a realistic appearance during
the day with Medieval garb being worn and speaking
as forsoothly as possible. Shtick is encouraged, both on
and off the list! Remember, this is a show and we must
look good. Practice your forsoothness and have fun!

Craftsmen and Merchants and Performers Permits are
required and can only be obtained by pre-registration
through the state before May 15th; For more information

Fighters, Marshals, Heralds, Garbed Spectators, and
WATERBEARERS are needed for the list area. Fighters
will be cheered on by the masses, so wear your best
 tabards and surcoats. Armor
will be trucked to the list each morning, PROVIDED IT
IS BAGGED UP AND BROUGHT TO THE COLLECTION
POINT NEAR THE PAVILION EACH MORNING. You will
be responsible for loading it into the trucks by 9:00 A.M. FIGHTERS NOTE:
This is a DEMO.

The Pentathalon will be held, with a sign-up at
the troll booth.
Bring your own ax, knife and bow.

THERE IS A TROLL BOOTH, YOU MUST SIGN IN,
THERE IS A $3.00 SITE FEE! In addition, the SCA
non-member fee will be collected.

Troll will operate from noon Friday until 11:00 PM,
and will again be open on Saturday except during
the Grand March and occasional breaks as needed
by the Troll. Troll will close at 4:30 PM on Saturday,
at which time any pub tickets that have not yet
been picked up will be sold.

Tent camping is separate from the Faire. NOTE:
There are no electrical outlets available. The shower
 will be on site again, so there will be hot showers.
No ground fires are permitted. You may wish to bring
a campstove. The State Dept. of Conservation
camping area is open at the back of the park. They charge
a fee, but have hook-ups, hot showers, and other amenities. Entrance is from
route 150 on the opposite side of the
park from the historic site enterance. Camping at the
college will open at noon Friday and close at 9:00 AM
Monday. NO THURSDAY NITE CAMPING
NO PETS. Only working guide dogs will be allowed on site.
All others will be refused admission or directed to the
back side of the Park.

There will be a Traveler's Feast on Saturday evening,
served at 6:30 PM at the main pavilion. Please bring
your own table service. Junebug Chili will be available
Friday night for those in need
of food but with no desire to go in search of it. Chili
will be $.75 a bowl, first come first served, no reservations
taken.

The drinking age in Illinois is 21. Please, no drinking
during the Faire hours - 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Drinking
after the Faire hours presents no problem.

 QUIET HOURS WILL BE FROM 12:00 MIDNIGHT TO 7:00 A.M.
