Gwydion.ap.Myrddin@blah.bsuvc.bsu.edu asks about a Capitol City.

Well, several things come to mind.

1. The Kingdom bureauocracy has two year terms, where Crowns rule
for only six months. You really want two capitols a year? Plus,
wouldn't it be fair to say that the offices that a capitol
would typically support equate more to the Senechallate's
chain-o-senechals, and the Chroniclers, and the Marshallate,
the Constabulary, and other service functions?

2. Crowns don't always come from the same shire or barony. Even
less likely that the major Kingdom officers are co-located.

3. What would a capitol do? Have court, we do that at events. Intrigue?
   That happens everywhere.

4. Don't we already have enough pointless positions of authority
without responsibility? A capitol city ought to be good for a
a handful of Shiriffs, some tavernkeepers, a Thieves Guild,
several mercantile robber barons, some tax collectors...

It seems to me that since we only have a true geographic presence
during an event, that we have a system of whatever event the Crowns
are in attendance that weekend is our Kingdom's "capitol city" for
that time. Then on Sunday, like a mystical city, it dissappears for
a hundred years, er, a week or two, and reappears in its glory at
the next event.
