Pretty Close. The people of Shattered Oak use it as a lookout tower to
watch for invasions.... It was the site of the initial border skirmish
between Shattered Oak and Nordskogen.... The current guardian of the
tower is a nefarious creature named Owen Allyn, (with who I am sometimes
confused ;) ....It's a looong story.....
And yes, Norman fortress pretty much sums up what it looks like up
close (It has first floor windows however -- which would have to be masoned
closed to be truly defensible). It is on the hill called Elk Mound above
the town of the same name.
Most people don't notice it. You get full marks for being observant.
