hello!
I am familiar with the story of the knighting - and it was just a
little too close to home after the reign of terror with Valthiona
and the laurelate. Finn is definately someone that we all were very
very enthusiastic over - but there were times when we felt pushed by
our queen and there were other times when we were overided
entirely. Fortunately - one of those times was someone that we all
love anyway - and that we just wanted to give more time to - so it
didn't really anger us like the knighting situation did in Florida.
Still - did you know that baldurr has turned his belt in at least
twice now? He is a hair trigger it seems. I still wonder at the
brashness of the current crown to think that they could revoke
something as automatic as a county -and something that is only under
the jurisdiction of the BoD. It sounded as if - from the minutes -
that the current crown is going to be in trouble.....
About baby clothes....it surprised me also to see weights instead
of sizes. I guess that when you are dealing with infants the sizes
can vary a whole lot - you can have a 10 pound 2 month old - or a 12
pound 4 month old....William currently weighs about 24 pounds and
is almost 30 inches tall - in fact he may be that tall now - last
time I measured him was very imprecise (he wiggled a lot ) and that
was some time ago.
So - for sizes for William I aim for at least 18 months - he is not
that old but he seems to be at that size - or 23 - 30 pound onesies
etc. IN diapers I get him huggies for HIM at size 3 which is 18 -
28 pounds or something like that . William is just a little larger
than the average for an almost one-year-old. How old is this
child? You might wish to gauge a little bigger since that way if it
doesn't fit it will be something that the child can grow into. Just
a thought.
Hope that this is helpful - to summarize - Williams stats are:
In turtle necks or t shirts - either 12 months or 18 months - the
18 fitting better right now.
Diapers - middle sized - by weight - about a size that can more
than cover 24 pounds...
In regular clothes and dresses/ pants....I look for 18 months as well.
Onesies are very helpful and popular since they are little T-shirt
body suits that stay tucked into their pants as they wiggle and
crawl around. Socks are fun too - buy them too big so that they are
sure to fit - some of the smaller sizes were too small for William
right from the start.
Shoes are tricky - if you see some that are really adorable and
you really want to get them - look for a fairly soft sole and guess
big in sizes - William is wearing a size three right now and he is
almost a year old.
Hope that this was helpful -
enjoy!

PS - I have enjoyed your postings and especially enjoyed your
letter to me about Tibor....what a boor. Why is he on this net
anyway if he really is irritated by our policies and politics? HE is
out of kingdom anyway.
bye!
