Better than the Bain books - There are a series of books on different
aspects of Celtic art by Aidan Meehan. There are titles available like
"Celtic Knotwork" "Maze Patterns" "Tree of Life", etc. Best to start with
"A beginner's guide to Celtic Design", or something like that. Meehan's
techniques are easier to follow than Bain's. I would highly recommend
this series of books to anyone interested in learning the ins and outs of
Celtic art. For years I struggled to learn how to do this stuff and
Meehan made it very clear to me how to do it. (Although I'll never be as
good as Mistress Siobhan...... ;-) grin, wink.)
