People who work their butts off deserve recognition. I don't care what form
it comes in but they do deserve a pat on the back. In many groups that is
just what an AOA is. It all goes along with having a name and device that is
( at last ) registered. When you achieve all three of these it makes you feel
like you have accomplished something. If there are people you know that
deserve recognition then get off your rusty dusty and write to HRH. He even
takes e-mail. Single postings are much better than a petittion. It just means
that you know the person and they really do deserve tha award, be it an AOA

or a Willow or a Dragons Heart. With a petittion Their Royal Highnesses dont
know for sure what is due a person , meaning you just got every one to sigh
weather they knew what was going on or not. All you have to say is " So and
so did such and such at this event or for this A&S and I think they deserve a
Purple frett / Order of the Oak. Make sure you put their SCA name and mundane
name and address adn the same for you . That way all can be recorded and kept
track of. Siobhan ni Brighde
