String stabilizers are not allowed. However on page 125 of the Fighters
Handboke it states. Mechanical or other releases that eliminate finger
contact with the string are SCA illegal, with the exception of Asian
thumb rings (which are period authentic). Therefore, you may use Thumb
rings in SCA archery, enjoy.
