The Japanese had scrolls that were written for heirs to pass on the
knowledge. Galelio and daVinci had notebooks. Perhaps the
individual who should be passing on this knowledge should be
writing it all down in a notebook. I had a copy of one of Galelio's
notebooks in my hot little hands once and it was a real education.

BTW, if anyone cares, it is in the circulating section of the University
of Cincinnati's Library, right next to some of daVinci's :).
