Do you, by chance, remember this substitute's name? I would like to

I remember it was an odd name (she was married) and that's about it.
Was neither Fr. nor Grk., that's certain. ;->> She told us if we were
ever to speak perfect Castillian, we should have to live there as she
had for several years. This was 1973, milord - she could be anywhere by
now.
What I can do is to copy what

Thank you, milady. I will be going on days next Monday (the 19th), so

Will do my best, milord. Have to go in tomorrow and will see what is
applicable for names and history. As for fashion, you might try to get
a copy of "Authentic Everyday Dress of the Renaissance: All 154 Plates
from the Trachtenbuch" by Christoph Weiditz. It's 16th cent and focuses
mainly on Spain. If this is not avail. at the Lib., (hoping that this
is your period) I know where you can buy a copy. If you need to buy,
please e-mail me privately for more info.
"A History of Costume" by Carl Kohler might be good as well as "Survey
of Historic Costume" by Tortora. There is "A History of Underclothes"
by C. Willett and Phillis Cunnington. "The Chronical of Wwestern
Fashion: From Ancient Times to the Present Day" by John Peacock. And
more where those came from.
Good luck! ;->>
