It seems to me that semantics is once more the culprit in this thread.
"Information" seems to be the hang-up. As it has been pointed out by
others, there are many excellent publications for general information.
They serve an excellent purpose, but I think people learning to do
something still need to learn how to do research if they don't already
know. A part of the satisfaction is lost by having everything handed to
one. It's the ephemeral things we need to also keep.
