Your Wor'ship, an interesting change is happening, and I thought you
should know of it, as it might cause change for your other crafters here.
And perhaps not change for the better.
Mind, I have heard stories, tavern tales and the like from other potters
in far away towns. And that is they are making and selling more drinking
jugs. Huh! A toy; a trinket made to entice greater sales by giving away
for cheap, (they are so quickly made and not worthy of our precious
glazes) so one might gain greater later.
But now it seems that vessels of wood and leather are in diminished
favor! Unbelievable!
And yet, when I was at the market held at Tirnewydd during their war
practice, what did i sell more of than any other? Drinking jugs!
And futher, I was approached by Inn holders and even a High Born Gentle
from a college, and they were wanting large numbers of my jugs. They
seem dissatisfied with what they HAVE used in the past, in their costs
and growing disrepair. They actually want clay drinking jugs!
I would be a fool to turn down such situations, but I AM concerned for
our wood workers. And the few who may toil fashioning leather...
I felt you should know of this happening......
