Well, urban legend or not, I do indeed know a young lady named
Female. Pronounced feh-MAH-lay. Darned if I know ... but there does seem
to be a huge flock of young African-American girls my age or younger with
... ahem, imaginative names. Most of them seem to be syllables strung
together for no particular purpose other than sounding neat - which,
actually, is a pretty darn cool way of naming a kid, if you think about
it. Well, as long as you *do* think about it, I suppose. :->
