I have been forwarding Their Majesty's updates concerning Prince Jafar to
Flaming Gryphon's baronial mailing list. Visconti is one of our members.
He is currently attending Medical School at Ohio University in Athens and
gave permission to forward the following to The 'Bridge.

(He is married to my apprentice, Lady Cecelia. She wrote that Visconti
immediately went to the medical library to do research on Jafar's condition
after the first posting)

Regarding Jafar's illness,

         I spent close to two years working in a hospital based
dialysis unit. The only patients we saw were the very seriously ill; many
of these patients followed a course similar to Jafar's.
         I am proud of my work in dialysis and feel we gave every
patient great care. For many reasons the patients who had a room
full of visitors every day seemed to do better. We did not treat these
patients with different care but we attacked their care with greater
motivation and enthusiasm. More importantly, I feel that the patients
knew that they had family and friends nearby helping them pull through.
        The two things I learned working with the critically ill were to never,
never, never give up hope and to never underestimate the power of human
kindness. Jafar has a tough road ahead and a long recovery. Anything any
of us can do in terms of support and good thoughts I am sure will have a
positive impact.
