I can't locate the exact text right now, but its on the web
someplace. The statute defines a FAX as device where printed matter
is transmitted over a telephone line, automatically dialed, and

output on paper. Just hit your print key, and you have wha the law
calls a FAX.

In my reading, the more succesful plaintifs have been domain owners
who have sued for unauthorized use of their equipment and domain
name. One was a domain something like flowers.com, and the spammer
had forged a return adress to make it look like it came from there.
The return hate mail and bad addresses jammed up flowers system.
They sued in Texas court, and won a sizeable judgement.
