This didn't go out the first time I sent it. The sentiments still hold

silent. It's almost Christmas. Nevermind that there are still pies and
cookies to bake, the house to neaten, and a present somehow to be
sneaked from a bedroom where a 3 year old lies dreaming of dolls and
train sets. The night is silent. There are no sirens to be heard,
heralding a life or death situation or disaster. There are no raucous
shouts from partygoers who have had too much to drink. Alas that there
are no carols, but somehow, I want the silence and peace this night
brings more than beautious voices. That there are many holidays wrapped
into one time of year is a blessing. I wish you all the joy and
blessings from the holiday you celebrate. I wish for you the peace and
beauty of this night and the promise of the Day to come. If you travel,
may you go and return in peace and safety and reach your destination to
find all you desire. If you stay at home, may your day be filled with
mirth, warmth and love.
