I, for one, think this is a lovely idea! I know that something like this
would be of great value to HRH Kenna, something made with our hands and
our hearts. What a great idea - and it could serve well to bring about a
lot of unity in groups. We could have quilting parties to do these things
or do it as a solitary project at home, whichever. I know that the Memory
Quilt that has been created to commemorate AIDS patients who have died
has brought a lot of comfort to the survivors. I remember seeing a quilt
that was created in memory of Master Dugal (is that how his name was
spelled?) who received his Laurel in dance shortly before his death of
AIDS. He was at the event at which he got his Laurel, though desperately
ill with AIDS at the time and bedridden for most of the event. A memory
quilt hung above his bed that had already been begun, and I am sure that
to those who knew and loved Dugal, it brought great comfort both before
and after his death. Such a thing I am sure would be greatly treasured by
HRH Kenna. I think it is a lovely idea!
