Greetings to all and best wishes for an happy new year!

     The "debate" over HRH Kenna's heraldry is probably unfortunate at this
time and is certainly not to be taken as something we heralds consider a
priority in her life right now.
     However, the basic premise here is to produce things which HRH will
cherish through the years and which will be appropriate for years to come.
     When HRH decides to submit arms, I am sure she will have been properly
advised. In the meantime, since neither Royal has arms, it would seem
unnecessary to worry about placing them prominently on a quilt (or anything
else, for that matter). Why not a flamingo and a salamander on a plain
background? I'm not a quilter, so I do not know how difficult it would be to
add or replace a square at a later date (I suspect it would be difficult).
     When HRH has her arms properly registered, she won't have to look at
the quilt and say "that's what I used to use", or "that's what I originally
wanted".
     Besides, the arms of royalty should be examples of the best heraldry;
HRH Kenna's should be no exception.

     Not trying to ignite any flames,

Vasili
