The only reason I posed the question was for the sake of people who might
want to depict Jafar artistically in the future--for instance, in
illumination, on a mural, that kind of thing. I guess you wouldn't need to
have registered arms for art, and since we know his colours and badge, we
could probably still do it.

The question about registering arms for a deceased person was somewhat
hypothetical, anyway--I was more curious about what the policy was than
about actually doing it for Jafar. In any case, it wouldn't be my call.

This got me thinking--some years ago, I saw a number of people embroidering
squares for a Middle Kingdom knighthood quilt--one square for each knight.
Some of the squares I saw were absolutely spectacular. Does anyone know
what became of that--is it regalia? A personal gift for someone?
