Greetings--

Badger, when exactly has anyone said the quilt is a bad idea? I think you're
attacking an imaginary enemy here.

About the most negative statement I've seen made here was some questions
about the registerability of Her Highness' device. I've not seen a single
bad word directed at either Her Highness or the lady coordinating the quilt
project; to the contrary, I think we've embraced the project with much
enthusiasm!

I also have a real problem with threatening to use SCA combat to solve a
real world dispute. That takes our hobby from a fun game to cold, hard
reality. In fact, I can barely stomach the thought of two people fighting
to seriously injure each other within an SCA context. I can get plenty of
that on the nightly news, thank you.
