I have a really dumb question, about long boats, In my reading the Vikings
would appropriate (steal ) even live stock. with the shallowness of a
longboat ( I am looking at a photo of a reconstructed one) They do not look
that deep. Yet the author claims even horses where taken. would the whole
thing sink? I mean the crew , the plunder, and livestock? also the whole
works looks open so what did you do in a storm or rain?
