I was told the last time this came up that he was indeed on Death Row.
Well, in any case, he's in the pen for contract murder.
The murder that he was convicted of did not carry a death penalty. Had he
been convicted of murdering the child, he would have been.
(He thought he was along just to scare a woman: his partner in crime killed
her during the felony. Her infant child died of starvation/dehydration
before the body was discovered. I gather that his defense team could prove
that a call was made to the ex-husband who hired them, and therefore it was
the fathers lack of action that led to the childs death.)
All in all, a very sordid crime.
