In a message dated 98-01-21 00:44:03 EST, you write:

<< Well, since Moonwulf just received such an award (and he has nearly
everything else by this point,) which way does he move in the OP?
(Moonwulf is an old friend of mine, and I'm abusing that privelege.) Up?
Down? Sideways? Backwards (his best fighting style)?

Do you consult the OP to determine who is more correct in a disputation?
Is the OP anything more than a register of who got what when? >>

My previous point exactly. As I've said earlier, I merely repeat the
terminology others have used. I started the thread out of some mundane
professional interest (linguist), since *on the surface* this semantic angle
could have some validity. However, as I pointed out in my last post, and as
Baron Durr so eminently pointed out with Moonwulf's example, this OP-oriented
terminology has some severe limitations.
