Samthan,
I see some rather big problems that can arise when bringing pets to
events. This includes pet comfort, comfort of other pets that might be around
it, and definitely comfort of the humans around the animal
Lets address each one...
If a pet is a house pet and used to roaming around a large house, is it
going to like being confined to either a cage or being put on a leash? Is this
animal used to large numbers of people who are going to want to pet it or hold
it. Are you able to tell people not to touch the animal???? Are you going to
be able to provide the animal with a large enough area to stretch and
walk..(most events are so big ,with so many people that this can be a
problem)? Is the animal used to a lot of strange noises??
Remember the clanking of armor and the banging of sword on shield could
frighten the most clm animal in the world..
Is the animal going to be used to other animals that might be around it or
will it sit there and meow, cry or bark?? Will the animals waste elimination be
taken care of???
Finally, How will people react to the animal. Remember that dander and hair
are the causes of some of the most violent allergic reactions in humans.
Please consider this when trying to decide about bringing a pet...think about
the number of people that might be at the event who don't even know that they
may have an allergy..
Also another thing to think about.... if you are preparing food on site...
what are your state or province health laws??? Even though a pet maybe in one
area.. hair and dander can fly..??? What happens then?
These are not criticisms..... rather just some things to think about.
