WHAT zero? If you multiply a number (any number, of any length, including
an infinite series) by 10, you do NOT put a zero at the end of the series.
You move the decimal point to the right one place. If this happens to
cause there to be no number immediately to the left of the decimal point,
you add a zero as a placeholder to keep things tidy.

For example, 12 x 10 = 12.0 x 10 = 120. But 99.9999 x 10 = 999.999 .
