Good gentles all,

Several recent missives on the Middlebridge certainly captured my attention,
although perhaps not in the manner which was intended. Instead of simply
receiving a copy of the words which were to be conveyed , the messages
 have been quite different.

Not only did the message contain the words which the gentles wished
to convey, but these messages included *ALL* of the specific instructions
(HTML coding) for that page. To my dismay, the service which delivers
messages to me (Lotus Notes) is very exacting and attentive to including
every bit of information from the original message.

Thus *EVERY TIME* someone uses a less exacting sort of service
(Netscape, etc.) to send messages, the scroll I receive contains
not only the message itself, but another copy of the message
imbedded amidst all the instructions to the scribes in the body of
the missive itself. (a multi-part MIME format message)

I find this to be most distracting. Indeed, there are times when it
frustrates, or even vexes me when I receive a succession of
such scrolls. Having heard others express similar frustration,
I make a public appeal and plea. I beg you all who send messages
thusly to consider instructing your scribes to convey their directions
in another manner which will not appear in the scroll I receive.

(If you are using Netscape:
Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
Select Formatiing from the Mail & Newsgroups submenu.
Select "Use plain text editor" and "convert the message into plain text."

Other mailers may require a different process to adjust settings.)

Many thanks to you, my fellow walkers of the Bridge,

Kou no Toshikage
