Hroar asks:
Having been left hungry after beating purity tests and chocolate to
death, why don't we shift emphasis just a bit, but still talk about food.
Is anyone planning Period meals for Pennsic? And if so, what do you
plan? I personally could use some fresh ideas for food that is Period,
preferably heart-friendly, and could be cooked over a camp fire (I have
the clay cooking pots for it!)
Is anyone researching anything interesting in food, for Pennsic or not?
I sure would enjoy hearing about it...
Uh, Hroar, m'dear, that is precisely why I invited yoiu to dinner- my camp
will have several of the members of the SCA Cook's List in it, and we'll be
cooking mostly period food. Also, on Tuesday evening, we're having the
Second Annual Known World Cook's Potluck- I'm going to be butchering a lamb,
actually teaching a class on butchering, off site, and we're going to cook
several different lamb recipes for it. So far, we only have the difficult
bits taken- if you're interested, we can discuss this further privately.

The World's Need
So many Gods, so many creeds,
So many paths that wind and wind,
When just the art of being kind
Is all this sad world needs.
