Yaknow, I had that too (or something like it). My eyes are not level
across (you can't see it unless you know it's there). My eye doctor
figured it out when I was about 15 before it became a huge problem for
me (I still see him 25 years later). It was getting worse, and he had
to keep getting me new lenses with more prism-bases in it to point the
image at the right place. I wound up having to do exercises using a
device to train my muscles to point my eyes where they should be by
focusing on pictures through windows where the viewer got
progressively closer to my face. Took about 6 months and my lenses
went back to normal.

Subject: [Mid] Migraines - yet another possibility

I suffered from headaches and Migranes (they are different) for 18 years -
half of my life. They were cured a month ago - when I went to the eye
doctor.
While I was having my eyes tested, I commented that I saw two images when
I was brought on "stereo". I wasn't supposed to be seeing two images. I
remember when I was young and I got new glasses, that I would see double
images of any lights I looked at.
Turns out the doctor (who I'm very grateful to!) had written his Doctoral
Thesis on this very condition! My Right eye focuses a bit above and to the
left of where my Left eye does. In order to keep me from having double
vision, the muscles on my right side, from my neck down into my shoulder
would contract to pull my head a little to the right - and cycle me through
Migraines when they contracted too much!
After all the doctors I saw, all the drugs I took, all the physical
therapy (I had been scheduled to see a Neurologist the very next day!) - my
Migraines were cured by a $5 change in my glasses! My shoulder still
tightens a bit (after 18 years I'd be suprised if it didn't!), but it is
such a relief!
If you even suspect that your headaches are caused this way - go get your
eyes checked - and tell the doctor if you see more than one of anything!
Dean mi mo dhichioll,
(I do my utmost)
Niamh
