[Mid] Gathering Information about RUM

Greetings to all from one of the Chancellors of RUM for transition, Conn
MacNiell.

There is currently a plan put forward for the reorganization of RUM that
has many merits, and was put together with great care and thought. One
of my responsibilities is to examine the plan and offer counsel to the
Crown concerning my feelings about the plan. My thought was to gather
information from the populace and base my comments on that input. I am
asking your assistance in this matter, and I ask that you feel free to
copy these questions to any who may want to comment.

I am gathering information from the populace concerning how the Royal
University of the Midrealm could best satisfy the needs of the people it
is designed to serve. To this end, I would like to ask a few questions
of any who would take the time to answer, and ask that you send your
brief replies for compilation to me PRIVATELY. I do this for two
reasons: 1) not to clog the list with many posts, and
2) to remove the influence of any one person on any other person's
opinions. I thank you for you input, and look forward to the future of
RUM.

1) What do you like most about RUM?
2) What do you like least about RUM?
3) If you could change two things, what would they be?
4) Do you teach at or attend RUMs, and if so, how many have you attended
recently?
5) Would you like to teach or attend RUM more often, and if so, what
would help increase your participation?
6) Do you feel RUM is accessible to everyone? If so, why? If not, why
not?
7) How do you feel about guest speakers from academia at RUM sessions?
8) Would you rather attend general (something for everyone) or specialty
(Dance Seminars, Fiber Arts, War College) sessions?
9) What classes would you like to see added to RUM?
10) What are your feelings about a "degree program" within RUM? Would
it motivate you?
