As it is, unless you have a *really* good herald who knows how to project
to where every word they say can be heard clearly all the way to the back
of the hall, courts are frequently hard to understand anyway, and made
the more so by the din of whispered conversations. It would improve the
situation greatly for those heralds who don't project as well as others
to not have to yell above the din, thereby making court a more enjoyable
experience for us all, regardless of where we are sitting relative to the
dais.

Just my humble $.02 on the matter..........
