No, it is a court heralds job to be the voice of the Crown. From the
moment that the court herald opens the court until they close it, The
Crown have the floor. They may concede the floor to individules as They
see fit but They retain the floor when these individules are finished.
Regardless of how well or poorly the court herald can be heard, they are
still *the voice of the Crown* and the audience should be attentive and
not talkative.
I think I'd like to see the Crown stop court and draw undue attention to
people who interupt Their court. Lets emberrass some people. That'd
quiet down a court, wouldn't it? I'd also like to see more awards
presented directly to recipients and, more to the point, not presented to
"someone to accept for them" except in extenuating circumstances.
Lastly, if anybody wishes to learn to project and enunciate in the fasion
of a court herald so as to be heard above the din of those uncurtious
enough to hold conversations during court, drop me a line and I'll see if
I can find a time and place to meet you and help if I can.
My two cents
