It's also the responsibility of the Crown when called specifically to get the
news to make that info available to the person who recommended the recipient.
I know that I've asked Crowns in the past to tell me if Lady Jane or Lord
John is to get an award I've written in for, only to be told TRMs won't say.
I find that to be counter-intuitive, since everyone benefits by having the
recipient attend the court he/she is to get an award at from the Crown. The
Crown gets to see the teary smiles and the recipient gets to feel that he/she
is appreciated by the Crown.
Remember, anyone can recommend anyone else for any award.
