I don't think not being there to get a scroll reflects at all negatively on
the recipient, and as for the date--isn't it the award that matters more?
Why is holding the scroll for public presentation later a hand slap?
There's nothing wrong with missing an event. It's not like school--no one's
taking attendance.
I think most of us realize that folks have real-life concerns that sometimes
keep them from events, or that there are other folks who for whatever reason
rarely make Court.
