I was a newbie,(little over a year old) the autocrat for the event, and my son got sick right before court started. To my surprise, I was called before their Majesties during feast and first repremanded (quite kindly I must add) for missing court since I was the autocrat, then was handed my husbands AoA. He couldn't attend since his uncle SAM had called him away,(Desertstorm) I did my polite bow, tried to leave, was ordered back and given my AoA. I was shocked, to say the least and found out that half the shire knew about it. So there is a plus for the word being passed.
On the other hand, I was given a kingdom level award at a court nearly
two months AFTER I'd left the kingdom and found out about it THREE years
later when my husband descided to check order of precidence in our old
kingdom. Quite a shock and surprise. I had attended several courts
before I left and still had friends there but was never told.
Just my two cents worth.....Bann Thegn Gwendolyn
