Just got done watching the History Channel's look at "The Messenger" "A Joan
of Arc Story"

A couple of gripes I've got with it... Perhaps I'm mistaken...

1. Single handed swords weighing 15-25lbs? That doesn't sound right, does
it?
    I was under the impression that most swords didn't weigh more than
5-6lbs.
    Before I joined the SCA, I picked up a Claymore that weighs in at 16lbs
and sure,
    It'd take down a horse, but you're be tired after swinging that thing
awhile. I've heard that the Zwihanlers(Spelling is wrong) were 7-9lbs.

2. That history guy mis-pronounced Bassinet and Sallet.

3. Remember to check out the "Gloves" that they were discussing...

4. Padded Jerkin? Isn't Gambeson the correct undergarment?

5. I'm still thinking of 5. Perhaps if I had the chance to review the
documentary again...

I wonder if it will be aired again, I'd like to tape it so it can be
critiqued better. Perhaps at a post revel?
