Ooo! ooo! Now where was this little ditty when I was teaching day care
kids all about Columbut day? I used to be the horror for the cities
kindergarten teachers. I told my kids all about how The Native Americans
lived in N.Amer. and then Leif came and that some people were talking about
how even the Egyptians came before that. Needless to say the following year
I always had one or two upset teachers who'd call me...
  "Are you Mr. Jonathan?"
  "Yes....?"
"Did you teach Autsin at Priscilla's last year?"
"Yes.... Are you talking about Christopher Columbut right now?"
"Yes I am. And it's very annoying. I keep trying to tell them about how
he discovered America and Austin keeps insisting that he just ran into it!"

(The best one was the girl who overheard me talking to another parent
about why I taught so many different explorers during Colum.. week and very
informatively corrected her teacher by saying "Now Columbus might have
informed Europe about the Americas but he didn't discover them.....There
we're indians there.")LOL

What was also very interesting was when they'd put it together that I have
Native American blood and say "Oh so THAT's why...."

Please post the rest, I love it.
